A photo to treasure of our Dad on the right and Uncle Sam (left)…This photo in front of their store, Rogoway Jewelers in downtown Portland, right after World War II. Our Dad had just returned from serving overseas and was very busy in the store with many returning service people becoming engaged and re-starting their lives. Sam left the downtown location and opened his own store on SE 82nd & Foster Road. Everyone told him he was nuts to have a jewelry store in the suburbs. He proved them wrong with a 300 square foot store that was converted from a Coney Island Drive Inn. Our Dad took over in 1960 after Sam passed away. They would both be very proud of their Grandson and Great Nephew who designed this new LaRog Brothers web site.
